This course looks at empowering students with basic to intermediate marketing knowledge and skill. This course is not unlike those presented at second year level by universities, for one semester. It looks at:

Marketing strategy,
Environmental analysis,
Market research,
Consumer behaviour,
Market segmentation,
The marketing mix,
Branding
Marketing communications such as general promotions, advertising and new media.
Creating a CV
Creating a press kit
Social Media Presence
Creating a simple website
This content is presented with the view that students will be entering the sound engineering and music business fields, so particularities and examples are given for each. Students need to develop a marketing plan and press kit for completion of the course.
