Trussing and Temporary Staging Structural Design introduces the learner to the components commonly used in temporary stage structures and roof systems. The mechanics of erecting a safe structure are discussed, including topics such as:
Ground Supports
Hanging points for conference or ballroom rigging
Secondary suspensions
Bridles and ‘H’ bridles
Motors and chain hoists
Links, eyebolts, shackles, hooks, ratchets and slings
Video screen structures
Hanging of components such as lights, screens and line arrays.
Access equipment required
Termination of ropes and steel cables
Outdoor system roof and tower lifting
