Production Set Up 7
Practical and hands on demonstrations of sound set-ups and participation in recordings, live shows and radio broadcast simulations, to gain workplace experience.
18 Hours of lectures prepare students for large scale live productions.
12 Hours of lectures review these productions, post-event.
6 Tutorial hours prepare students for productions in small groups, under lecturer supervision.
12 Hours of homework are assigned for the planning of productions in syndicate groups. The paperwork for this planning is graded as a formative assessment.
16 Hours of prepared exercises typically consist of participation in two 8 hour shows.
66 Hours are asigned to projects which have a definate outcome:
Live Sound Reinforcement students will prepare virtual sound checks and show files and will typically participate in an additional 4 live events.
Audio Post Production students will produce several edited video segments of shows. These will include both video editing and sound design elements.
Music Recording students will produce several edited mixes derived from these shows.
Broadcast students will produce several edited radio segments of shows.
