Advanced and Surround Sound Mixing

Learners are given various multi-track music, drama, film, or video post production audio recordings, and are guided through the advanced mixing process.
The advanced mixing process includes balancing, panning, dynamic processing, 2D image, 3D image, advanced automation, advanced mixing techniques, surround mixing and finalising the mix for delivery.
An introduction to the key concepts, configurations, and technologies of common surround sound formats.
There is much jargon used in describing surround systems, terms like LtRt, Meta-data, DialNorm, DTS, Lfe. These terms are all explained, along with many others
This course also explains and demonstrates key considerations when mixing for, or down mixing from, or up-mixing to surround formats and the accurate monitoring of surround-sound content.
Each week, learners are guided through critical listening exercises.
