Nick Matzukis is South Africa’s foremost authority on music copyright, royalties, and entertainment law. A founding director of ASE and former chairperson of SAMPRA, CAPASSO, and POSA, he has shaped key national legislation and trained hundreds of music professionals on navigating the business side of the industry.

Nick leads ASE’s Music Business & Law Department, where he teaches contract negotiation, intellectual property, collecting societies, and royalty income streams — giving students the power to own and protect their creative work.
