Academic Research and Programme Review

This course focuses on developing academic research skills, with an emphasis on applying various research methodologies to investigate complex topics. Learners will gain experience in designing, conducting, and analysing research projects, using qualitative and quantitative methods. The course covers formulating research questions, gathering and analysing data, interpreting results, and presenting findings in a structured academic format. Ethical considerations in research are also explored, ensuring learners understand the responsibilities of conducting research in professional and academic settings. Students are guided in planning the structure and presentation of their various projects in the context of their major and elective choices (Complementary Studies). This provides students with a forum in which to discuss the direction and outcomes of their production and research projects in the context of their career objectives.
