Video Post Production & Non-Linear Editing - 7

Video Post Production and Non-Linear Editing 7 expands on previous knowledge, focusing on advanced video editing and post-production techniques for long-form projects. The course introduces students to more complex workflows, including automating media ingest through Dynamic Media Folders, managing metadata, and working with multichannel audio and surround sound. The course also covers advanced colour management techniques and introduces the use of Paint, Compositing, and Tracking tools for image correction and visual effects. Students will learn how to prepare for editing, perform advanced trimming and timeline management, and customise settings to optimise their workflow. Topics such as timecode interfaces, frame rate conversion, and working with legacy standards (SD Betacam and film) are covered. Additionally, the course introduces cloud editing technology, media servers, and media management systems such as Media Central and Nexus. By the end of the course, students will be proficient in script-based editing, using metadata for output, and enhancing video quality with advanced visual effects.
